Holy Spirit

“Atop the pole supporting the [Nauvoo Temple] weather vane is a stylized flame of fire. Tongues of fire are a symbol of the gift of thee Holy Ghost (Acts 2:3-4). A fitting symbol resting a top the highest pinacle of the Nauvoo Temple, where the Spirit of the Lord, even the Holy Ghost, rests down upon those assembled. One account even reported that “a flame of fire” was seen “to rest upon the temple.”
